Complete Smile - Cosmetic Dental Clinic

Implants: single crown

Complete Smile - Cosmetic Dental Clinic Mr B aged 54 years

Mr B attended the practice having fallen on ice three days previously. He had completely avulsed the upper right central incisor. This tooth had not been recovered. The upper right lateral and upper left central were partly mobile and showed signs of crazing to the clinical crowns. Neither teeth were good candidates for bridge abutments and Mr B was not keen on any form of bridgework.

Eight weeks later a delayed placement 12mm x 3.75mm surgical titanium implant was placed with good primary fixation. The site was temporised with an acrylic partial prosthesis.

Six months later, at second stage, the implant was uncovered and torque tested. The implant was restored three weeks after this appointment. A good aesthetic result has been achieved. The implant and restoration have been monitored for 8 years without any problems. The soft tissue has remained stable.

Three visits.
Cost to patient £1,300
