Dental implant, same day placement

Mrs L aged 43

Referred from her dentist in Sunderland with a fractured incisor and abscess and requested a fixed implant based solution. An immediate implant was placed at the time of extraction, good healing was achieved around a transmucosal titanium component, following which the tooth was restored with a zirconia abutment which shows excellent gingival healing and exemplary aesthetics. There has been no change in the tissue over a 2 year period of review and both the dentist and patient were delighted with the result.
