Clinical Director

Allen graduated from the University of Newcastle in 1991. After a number of positions in general practice, he took up a position at Sheffield Hospital where he received his Masters degree in Oral Surgery in 1997.

His early research interests into growth factors and bone regeneration have lead to his current interest in developing solutions in bone augmentation. He developed the Complete Smile clinic in 2000 where he currently holds the position of Clinical Director.

Allen regularly lectures in implant and cosmetic dentistry both nationally and internationally. He currently splits his time working and teaching dentists between the Complete Smile Institute in South Shields and in Texas USA. Much of the specialised work that Allen undertakes in the clinic is provided by referral from other dental practices within and outside of the region. He has been involved in teaching general dental practitioners and hospital based dentists for a number of years and holds, and has held, several honorary positions including that of Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Warwick. Dentists from many parts of the UK are regularly in attendance at the centre undertaking a variety of short and long term Post Graduate training programmes taking advantage of the outstanding facilities and world-class expertise provided by some of the team members.
